Welcome to Real Dog Food. This website is operated by RDF Trading Co Ltd. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to RDF Trading Co Ltd. RDF Trading Co Ltd offers this website, including all information, tools, and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.
By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink.
1. General Conditions
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services.
By placing an order through our Site, you warrant that you are legally able to enter into binding contracts and that you are at least 18 years of age.
2. Consumer Protection (New Zealand)
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA).
•Consumer Guarantees Act: If you are purchasing products for personal, domestic, or household use, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
•Fair Trading Act: We are committed to fair, honest, and transparent trading. We will not mislead you about the price, quality, or characteristics of our products.
By purchasing from us, you confirm that you are the end user and will not resell our Product. If you are acquiring goods for business purposes, you agree that the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 do not apply.
3. Pricing and Payments
All prices listed on this Site are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Payment for all Products and Services must be made by credit or debit card or any other payment method listed on the online checkout page of the Site.
•It is your responsibility to ensure your accepted payment method details are valid and up to date. We accept major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
•It is your responsibility to ensure that sufficient funds are available at the time of payment processing.
•You accept that additional bank charges may apply to certain transactions that are outside our control.
•You are liable for any costs associated with any default in payment for any Product Purchase. A late payment fee may apply if you fail to settle outstanding amounts within ten days of the Order Cut-Off date.
Payment Security and Privacy:
We do not collect or store your complete payment information.
•All payment information is collected and stored by the applicable third-party payment processor in order to be processed as required. We never permanently store complete debit/credit card details.
•All online debit/credit card transactions performed on this Site are processed through secured payment gateways.
•Payments will appear on your bank statement as “Real Dog Food” or “RDF Trading Co Ltd”.
4. Orders and Fulfillment
You acknowledge that the Products displayed on the Site are indicative only and that the actual Products you receive may vary slightly from those displayed.
Please review your online shopping trolley carefully before confirming your order. We cannot be held at fault for delivering the food that you ordered if a mistake was made during the checkout process.
Upon finalising your online purchase, you will be emailed a receipt confirming your order. If you do not receive this confirmation, or if the items listed are incorrect, please notify us within 24 hours so we can attempt to rectify the issue.
•Cancellations: We may not be able to cancel your order once we have emailed acceptance of your Product Purchase. However, if you wish to cancel, please contact us immediately.
•Order Fulfillment: We will make all reasonable attempts to fulfil your order. If we cannot fulfil your order in whole or part, we will contact you to discuss options (e.g., partial delivery, waiting for the complete order, or cancellation).
•Order Refusal: We reserve the right to limit the food we supply or to cancel an order at any time for any reason at our sole discretion, including unavailability of the Product or errors in pricing or description. If we reject an order, we will endeavour to notify you within 7 days. If we refuse an order prior to delivery, a full refund will be processed within 10 business days.
5. Privacy
Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. 6. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless RDF Trading Co Ltd and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.
7. Force Majeure
We will not be liable to you or any other person for any delay or failure to perform any of our obligations under these Terms, or for any loss or damage therefrom, to the extent the delay or failure is caused by any event beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, strikes).
8. Law & Severability
If any portion of these Terms is deemed to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
